BMA Intercepts Narcotic Ingredients Worth an Estimated R1 billion

The Border Management Authority intercepted narcotic ingredients worth an estimated R1 billion at the Beitbridge Port of Entry hidden in a truck traveling from Malawi into South Africa. Three foreign nationals appeared in the Musina Magistrates Court on Friday in connection with the bust.

The incident has reignited urgent concerns around:

  • Unroadworthy buses transporting undocumented migrants
